People taking GLP-1 drugs like Zepbound / Wegovy / Saxenda / Ozempic etc; have noticed side effects, such as nausea and vomiting, are exacerbated by eating certain foods. 

AVOID High-fat, ultra-processed, and high-sugar foods and drinks, such as red meat, soda, and alcohol. These are common culprits.

 

DO EAT:

Rich protein & fiber, non-starchy vegetables, whole fruits, whole grains, legumes, nuts, and healthy dietary fats. Most importantly, drink water. HYDRATE! HYDRATE! HYDRATE!

Useful tip:
Avoid saltine crackers for nausea and eat Greek yogurt.
 
Zepbound – (common side effects) nausea, diarrhea, vomiting, constipation, stomach (abdominal) pain, indigestion, injection site reactions, feeling tired, allergic reactions, belching, hair loss, and heartburn. These are not all the possible side effects of Zepbound. 
 
Saxenda – (common side effects) nausea, diarrhea, constipation, vomiting, injection site reaction, low blood sugar (hypoglycemia), headache, tiredness (fatigue), dizziness, stomach pain, and change in enzyme (lipase) levels in your blood.

Wegovy – (common side effects) nausea, diarrhea, vomiting, constipation, stomach (abdomen) pain, headache, tiredness (fatigue), upset stomach, dizziness, feeling bloated, belching, gas, stomach flu, heartburn, and runny nose or sore throat.

Mounjaro – (common side effects) nausea, diarrhea, decreased appetite, vomiting, constipation, indigestion, and stomach (abdominal) pain.

Victoza – (common side effects) nausea, diarrhea, vomiting, decreased appetite, indigestion, and constipation.
(Signs of low blood sugar *Hypoglycemia) dizziness or lightheadedness, blurred vision, anxiety, irritability or mood changes, sweating, slurred speech, hunger, confusion or drowsiness, shakiness, weakness, headache, fast heartbeat, and feeling jittery.

Trulicity – (common side effects) nausea, diarrhea, vomiting, abdominal pain, decreased appetite, indigestion & fatigue.
 
Ozempic – (common side effects) nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, stomach (abdominal) pain, and constipation.
 
Stop using your medication and go to the nearest emergency room if you have severe pain in your stomach area (abdomen) that will not go away, with or without vomiting.
